In this message from Acts 15, Pastor Kit pauses the series to help the church “rewind” the story of Acts and remember how we got here. He traces the movement of the gospel from Jerusalem to the nations — through miracles, persecution, obedience, and ordinary believers simply trusting the Holy Spirit. From Peter to Philip to Paul, the book of Acts shows God directing His people, empowering them, calling them, and using every moment, season, and circumstance to advance His mission.
The sermon also invites us to consider our own stories in light of God’s bigger one. Just as the early church experienced highs, lows, delays, opposition, and surprising moments of clarity, so do we. God gives seasons of growth, seasons of waiting, seasons of monotony, and seasons of reshaping — all with purpose, even when we can’t yet see it. And just like the believers in Acts, each of us has a role to play in the story God is writing in our church and in our community.
Ultimately, we’re reminded that the heart of Acts is transformation — God changing people, cultures, and whole communities through the power of the Spirit and the witness of His people. The question left for us is simple: in this season of your life, where has God placed you, and how is He calling you to step into the story He’s telling?
