Guest Speaker Chuck Guill reminded us that every new year represents a new beginning—and Scripture shows us that God often does His greatest work through ordinary people who are willing to say “yes.” Teaching from Matthew 28, Chuck walked through the moment Jesus entrusted the future of the Church to His disciples through the Great Commission. Though the task felt overwhelming, Jesus made the mission clear: make disciples. This calling isn’t limited to pastors or missionaries—it belongs to every believer, wherever God has placed them.
Chuck emphasized that God not only calls us to make disciples, but also equips and empowers us to do so. Through praying, giving, and going—whether across the street or around the world—we all have a role to play. Most importantly, Jesus promises His authority and His presence with us as we obey. As we step into a new year, the challenge is simple but profound: be willing to go where God sends you, trust that He goes with you, and faithfully help others grow as learners of Jesus Christ.
