Why vOLUNTEER?
At Southport Fellowship, we like to say we’re a family of families—and one of the greatest joys of being part of that family is watching our children grow, both in their faith and in who God is shaping them to be.
But that kind of growth doesn’t happen on its own.
It takes a church full of people who are willing to show up, step in, and be part of something bigger.
That’s where you come in.
Volunteering with our children’s ministry isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present.
Whether you’re leading a Bible lesson, helping with a craft, or just passing out goldfish to hungry toddlers… your presence makes a difference!
Every moment you serve helps to shape the kind of community we’re hoping to build together—one where every child feels seen, loved, and excited to grow in Jesus.
If you’ve never volunteered before, don’t worry—trying it out is low-pressure and no-commitment.
Hop into a classroom that already has two experienced teachers, observe, lend a hand, and see how you like it.
And, once you commit… you can serve every week, once a month, or once every decade.
We’re flexible—because it’s not about how often you serve, but that you have a heart to serve at all.
This isn’t just about filling spots on a schedule: it’s about investing in the future of our church and the spiritual lives of the next generation.
We don’t just want you involved, we need you. Our church isn’t complete without the unique gifts, passion, and presence you bring to it.
So come be part of the story. There’s a place for you here.
