Power of the Spirit in Philippi #2A

In this message from Acts 16, Pastor Kit slows down to help the church see a reality we often ignore: there is a spiritual battle happening all around us. Through the story of the slave girl in Philippi, he shows how the enemy works subtly — through distraction, deception, confusion, and even the things our culture treats as harmless. The girl’s bondage, both physical and spiritual, becomes a picture of how the enemy still enslaves people today.

The sermon challenges believers not to live unaware or apathetic. We’re reminded that while Christians cannot be possessed, we can be oppressed, distracted, or rendered useless when we drift from the Word, avoid obedience, or treat spiritual warfare like fiction. Pastor Kit points us back to Scripture after Scripture, showing that the battle is real — but so is the power God has given us.

Above all, he calls the church to wake up: to pursue Jesus intentionally, resist the enemy’s lies, and refuse to fight the wrong battles. As a dark world grows darker, the people of God must grow brighter. Through prayer, the Word, and faithful endurance, we stand firm — and we shine the light of Christ where it’s needed most.
